
Are you celebrating Go Texan Day? Got your pride on? This celebratory date was established in the 1950′s as a way to show off some Texas pride and to welcome to town The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. From the rodeo website:
“Grow beards, wear big hats, boots and spurs. Let’s put a little touch of the Wild West into this thing.” Those were perhaps the first words spoken that informally established the unique Western flavor of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™.
