This past Monday Houston Press revealed part of their showcase for the upcoming SXSW by announcing the addition of local pop band The Wild Moccassins. Known for their infectious energetic live performances, these kids really know how to put on a fun show. If you are making plans to head down to Austin in March, make sure you check them out and add them to your lineup. With a new album coming out very soon, this Houston band is definitely one to keep an eye on.

With a very pretty lead singer, bright bouncy vocals, and jangly upbeat sound, the band has all the makings of indie-pop stardom. The best place to get info on the Moccasins is their MySpace page with lots of upcoming U.S. tour dates starting up in April. Don’t miss them!
