Born into total poverty, Brenda Lee (Brenda Mae Tarpley) and her family discovered her amazing musical talent when she was just three years old while listening to a transistor radio. Later discovered singing at schools and for local radio stations, Brenda went on to being signed to Decca Nashville Records (home of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton) when she was just 9 years old.

It was at this time when she recorded this Holiday tune in July, 1956 as Little Brenda Lee:
