Shiner Smokehaus
Friday, November 20, 2009
A very offbeat seasonal offering from Texas brewer Shiner, a Helles-style lager made with Texas mesquite wood-smoked pale malts.
Appearance: Sort of a golden yellowish color.
Smell: A light meaty liquid smoke aroma.
Taste: An acquired taste, not recommended for everyone. If you enjoy smoky flavors, this beer is definitely worth a try.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, light fizzy carbonation.
Drinkability:Â Recommended for Autumn and Winter drinking with outdoor grilling or bbq.
After giving this unique Smokehaus a try, we are really looking forward to trying Holiday Cheer, Shiners holiday offering that is brewed with Texas peaches and roasted pecans.
