Segari’s since ’71

Looking for a unique restaurant to have a great night out? Check out Segari’s, a favorite place for some terrific seafood that’s also one of the best kept secrets in town. Located on Shepherd Drive lies this small restaurant that serves up unbelievably fresh gulf seafood along with a lot of Texas character. This newest incarnation of Segari’s comes in a long line of establishments run by the late Sam Segari, who seemed like quite the character himself (check out the restaurants website that includes an entire blog of funny memories of Sam).
Now run by his daughter, the restaurant has only nine tables and they always seem full of her happy regulars. The last time we ate there we tried some incredible ceviche, GIANT stuffed shrimp, baskets of onion rings, the best crabcakes of all time, and “desserts that come first” just cause Sam apparently liked them best. Just a heads-up – with no prices listed on the menu its best to just throw caution to the wind and you’ll end up quoting Sam himself by saying “I haven’t got a complaint in the world”.
