Robert del Grande

Back in the early eighties, Chef Robert del Grande, brought Houston cuisine to new heights with his original Cafe Annie. As one of the fathers of New Southwestern Cooking, he indelibly changed the culinary landscape with his fine American fare. Winning every type of award there is, Chef del Grande, is considered one of the finest chefs in Texas. This past summer Cafe Annie was closed to make way for its “spiritual successor” the RDG Bar Annie which opened mid July. With a relaxed dress code, the new restaurant hosts a gastropub style menu in one venue, and old favorites and classic dining in the other. Tying together the old with the new, the clever RDG menu even lists the year each dish was added to the original Cafe Annie menu. The glowing reviews are in, the crowds have already descended, so there is no better time to get in line…than now.
