Currently exhibiting at the New World Museum on Houston’s West Side is a fascinating exhibition of local modern architects showing plans for building your own small home. Inspiring potential home builders to consider modern sustainable architecture, the Hometta exhibition features all kinds of plans for houses that could be constructed just about anywhere. Most of the houses are under 2,500 square feet, with two or three bedrooms. The exhibition will be on view for three consecutive weekends through August 2, 2009. Thursdays through Sundays, noon to 5pm.
Homes by Houston based studios include the 48′ House by Interloop- Architecture, the Binary House by Collaborative Designworks, the Draft House by HouMinn Practice, and the Shot Trot (also seen below) by Brett Zamore Design.
