Don't Mess With Genius

A little known fact about the “Don’t Mess With Texas” slogan is that it was originally created to prevent people from littering. In 1986 this statewide advertising campaign was started to reduce trash on Texas state highways. Since then, the phrase has become a cultural phenomenon and it has been applied widely to general use.
As one of the most successful slogans of all time, it has won a place on the Madison Avenue Walk of Fame and it also has a place in the Advertising Hall of Fame. We just like it.
